Game against reality. Operators of the third year of updates from Rainbow Six Siege

Good day everyone. I continue to analyze the equipment of operatives from Rainbow Six Siege. The last time I reviewed the operatives of the second year of updates. This time we will look at how realistically the operatives of the third year are recreated. I’ll say right away that the game featured operatives from fictional special forces and not everyone has examples of similar units.

CBRN Threat Unit. Operation Chimera

The Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Threat Squad was created in response to the growing number of biological and chemical attacks. To prevent the spread of threats, CBRN focuses on passive defense, pollution prevention, and threat mitigation. CBRN Threat Unit is represented in the game by attack operatives Finka and Lion.

Lera Melnikova, thanks to her ability, is able to remotely raise fallen allies to their feet and for some time will allow them to work better with weapons. By activating the charge of nanobots in the injection Adrenal Surge Finka will give all attackers a temporary increase in the following indicators:
• Temporary increase in health by 20hp. The increase in health does not depend on the player’s actual stock of health points, which allows him to have more than the usual stock;
• Recoil in aimed mode is reduced by approximately 45%;
• Aiming time reduced by 25%;
• Reload time for weapons and gadgets is reduced by approximately 15%;
• Traffic in barbed wire is reduced by almost 40%;
• The effects of gadgets such as the stun grant and Ying flash and sound grenades have been reduced by 50%;
• The effects of devices such as Ela mines and Zofia grenades are reduced by 70%, and are also canceled when activated after a concussion;
• Tinnitus from explosions is instantly removed.

Nanobot Activation can also be used on allies put into the Fallen But Not Dead state, restoring them with 5hp, along with a temporary boost of 20hp. The revival process takes almost 3 seconds, the same as when using the Doc gadget.
When using the Finka ability, attackers may experience the following negative effects, which defense operatives can take advantage of:
• Yokai Echo can use its ultrasonic blasts to stop the effects of nanobots;
• Activating the Gu mine will pause the action of the nanobots until the poisonous needle is removed;
• You cannot use an adrenaline injection to raise your partners if they fall into one of Frost’s traps;
• The gadget activation method is based on an electronic signal. Consequently, being in the range of one of the Mute jammers, Lera will not be able to activate the device;
• Pulse Heartbeat Sensor is able to detect nanobot-enhanced attackers at a longer distance of 14 meters compared to the normal 9 meters due to their heart beating at a faster rate;
• Smoke’s gas grenades deal 50% more damage to attackers affected by the nanobot burst, as operatives will breathe faster, thereby inhaling more gas.

A total of 3 injections can be made per round. Based on this, before activating the device, it is necessary to conduct a thorough reconnaissance of the map and use it only if opponents are not capable of causing harm with their gadgets.

But what about the real use of such an unusual gadget?? An operative like Finka can exist in real life, but with some caveats. And now I’ll explain why.
First, let’s deal with nanobots. Nanobots, according to Wikipedia, are robots comparable in size to a molecule, with the functions of movement, processing and transmission of information, and execution of programs. They can be customized to perform various tasks, and given their size as an atom, they have many uses. But we’re talking about medicine, so let’s go into more detail here. Scientists identify potential areas of application of nanorobots in medicine in the following categories:
• Early diagnosis of cancer and targeted delivery of drugs to cancer cells;
• Biomedical instruments;
• Surgery;
• Pharmacokinetics;
• Monitoring of diabetic patients.
In this field of activity, nanobots are a kind of mini-doctors in which a specific program is programmed. In the near future, we will not have to visit many doctors, because for treatment we will only need one injection for the nanobots to take up our treatment and complete the task that the doctor asks. And since Lera Melnikova activates them using a button, which brings her device closer to the real one. No matter how remote activation is quite a common thing. But what about real analogues, because it all sounds very plausible. Currently, all nanobots are in prototype state. This is similar to Thatcher EMP grenades: they are possible, but there are no such small prototypes yet. So it is with Melnikova’s gadget: all possible options for nanobots are actively being improved, thought out and completed. As an example, in 2008 the first prototype of a “DNA computer” was developed, and by 2016 the first nanorobots were created for the speedy delivery of drugs through the veins. This suggests that in the near future nanobots will be actively used in various spheres of our lives and the active interest in this all over the world is a direct confirmation of this.

If you look at the drug https://casino-royale.uk/ injected into Fink’s squad and the one provided by the nanobots, then based on the effects Lera has created a substance that combines the beneficial properties of several medications. For example:
• Anti-wound – used to stabilize severe wounds characterized by extensive damage to the skin and internal organs.
• Stvolozipam – used to increase the physical strength and moral stability of fighters before battle.
• eX-change – used during the evacuation of the wounded, or to quickly restore a soldier’s combat effectiveness after a minor injury.
• Cardofrin is a fast-acting cardiac stimulant. Adrenaline derivative.
• Metformin is an effective pain reliever.

As a result, we can say that this operative can exist in real life. Not as futuristic as in the game, but close to real. After all, anything can happen on the battlefield and several drugs can raise a fallen enemy to his feet. But so far there are no universal nanobots with remote control.

Let’s move on to weapons. As the main weapon you can take the 6P41 machine gun, SASG-12 shotgun and Spear rifle .308, and from sidearms GSh-18 and PMM. I talked about each of them in this blog. But it’s worth adding a little about each trunk.
6P41 in the game has pleasant shooting control, high damage, quick transition to aiming mode and leisurely reloading. The gaming model is based on the Pecheneg PKP and is equipped with a conversion kit from the Zenit company: conversion to a bullpup, installation of a Picatinny rail, a butt plate instead of a butt and a fire control handle moved forward.

The SASG-12 shotgun in the game has high damage, a large magazine and fast reloading, but high recoil and large shot spread. The gaming model is based on the Saiga-12 and features a RIS foregrip, a Hogue pistol grip and a Hatcher Gun Company handguard.

In the game Spear .308 replaces the Finka AK-12 Spetsnaz. This weapon has average damage, pleasant recoil, acceptable rate of fire and reload speed. Something interesting to note is that the game model uses magazines from 5.56×45, although the caliber is 7.62×51, and the operative preview has an American holographic sight.

Let’s move on to sidearms. The GSh-18 presented in the game has a capacious magazine, acceptable damage, fast recoil and low recoil. The game model was based on the sports version of this pistol, as evidenced by the absence of a safety trigger.

PMM has the highest damage in the game among its peers, fast reloading and convenient aiming. The game model is based on the standard version of the PM, and it will not be possible to quickly reload this pistol and inflict high damage, as shown in the game, due to the low-power cartridge and reloading features.

In reality, Special Forces operatives partially use the presented weapons. PKP "Pecheng" and GSh-18 are in service with Russian special forces; Saiga-12 is used, but in the 18.5 KS-K variant. Spear .308 is Sarych’s graduation project and never entered service. Instead, one could use the OTs-14 “Groza”, As “Val” or AN-94 “Abakan”. The Russian special forces long ago abandoned the PM and PMM and in its place they could have added the OTs-38 or OTs-20 “Gnome” revolver, the OTs-33 “Pernach” automatic pistol or the Strizh.

As a result, I can say that such an operative may exist in real life, but his appearance is ahead of our time. Almost everything is accurate with weapons, except for the assault rifle and PMM.

Olivier Flament, using his gadget, is able to find opponents who change their location on the map. The EE-One-D drone is off the map hovering above the sky. Lion, by activating his gadget within 2 seconds, receives information about the enemy’s movement. In 1.5 seconds, defense operatives receive a notification on their screen that a scan has begun, thereby protecting themselves.

The drone, when activated, will only detect movements of defenders who move from positions prior to scanning. Repeatedly changing positions or using any gadget or weapon will not cause the defender to be spotted. However, destroying the hatch and falling through it will count as an EE-One-D scan. The ability takes 15 seconds to recharge, and you can use the scan 3 times in total per round.

Lion works well with a variety of allied operators that are suitable for clearing a room:
• Fuze can force defenders to flee the room he is clearing, hence Lion can track them. Additionally, Olivier’s sounds will be able to show Shukhrat where defense operatives are, allowing him to more accurately place his cluster charges.
• Jackal is an excellent partner in intimidating roamers, as the Spanish attack operative’s gadget gives opponents an incentive to move around without their current location being tracked, while Flament forces them to stay put to avoid being detected.
• Using the Dokkaebi gadget immediately after scanning the EE-ONE-D can stop enemies for a few seconds. But it is not recommended to use these gadgets at the same time.
• Thermite and Hibana can work well with Lion, as their explosive gadgets work well for the latter’s benefit, forcing opponents to choose between preventing the surface from exploding or remaining incognito from EE-ONE-D.
• Lion also works well with counter-electronic operatives such as Thatcher and Twitch, who can destroy Mute jammers interfering with the functioning of the EE-ONE-D.

Counter Lion can Mute with his jammers. If the defender is within range, then Olivier’s gadget will not be able to detect him, and if Flament is close to the jammer, then scanning will not be activated. Vigil, being under his disguise, will remain unnoticed by the drone.
It’s worth saying that after the nerf, the original location of enemies and their marks changed a lot. Previously, moving opponents while scanning the gadget were visible to the assault squad through all obstacles. The enemy’s location is now marked with markers on the screen, similar to drone reconnaissance.

But how real is this device?? There is no exact information about him, and even thematic sites are empty. Everywhere EE-ONE-D is indicated as a special drone, but due to its features, it can be assumed that three devices were used in its creation: an echolocator, a radar and a motion sensor. And let’s go through each of them in detail.
1. Echolocator. It sends out waves that convey information about the appearance of an object. Natural echolocator exists in whales and bats, which allows them to navigate the terrain due to their characteristics. I ask you to note that information is received only about the external object, but not about what or who is inside the objects. For example, on ships, echolocator allows you to detect coastal rocks in fog.
2. Radar. Its operating principle is similar to an echolocator. Radio waves encountering electronic inhomogeneities are scattered when they meet other electronic inhomogeneities other than the means of propagation. At the same time, the reflected wave, like target reflections, allows you to detect the target. Therefore, the radar detects all devices other than the specified detection frequency.
3. Motion sensor. This is a signaling device that detects the movement of objects and is used to monitor the environment or automatically trigger required actions in response to the movement of objects. The operation of the motion sensor is based on the analysis of various types of waves arriving at the sensor from the environment.
We can say that the drone as a whole is real, the work is reliable, creation in real life is possible, but its principle of operation, unlike the game, is the opposite.
